Question by iorama: Can eyesight improve if you rest your eyes for, say, some months by not using the comp or reading too much?
I am 44 and feel my vision has deteriorated recently. I now wear progressive lenses. Have diabetes, but doctors say I have no diabetic retinopathy.

I was diagnosed with diabetes not long ago, and I’m afraid to using my lancet because of the sudden stab, does anyone have any tips on how to get over this fear?

What’s something from the patient’s history and/or investigations one can perform to accurately distinguish between type 1 and 2 diabetes?
