My husband has had several health problems and the Dr.s can’t figure out what it is. He recently found out that his blood sugar has been fluxuating. All of his lymph nodes are swollen, he feels like he has the flu all the time(body aches, chills, hot flashes). He has been depressed. He has no energy. He has mood swings. He has headaches alot. These things have lead him to Dr, to Dr. To Dr. They have done test after test, including surgery to biopsy a lymph node. No Cancer of any kind. They can’t find anything. Can all of this be problems from the onset of diabetes and could it take YEARS before the diabetes actually show up? Is there something we should be looking for?
We have been told that his problem could be an auto immune disorder but they don’t know which it is.
His kidneys were checked, I think. He had started having trouble because he was constantly going to the bathroom to pee and he was always thirsty.
He also had trouble with his fingers drawing up from time to time but that was years ago. It hasn’t happened in years.
Just found out that his mother took some medicine for diabetes. She died at the age of 47 of a stroke or something along that line.

I’ve had type 1 diabetes for about 4 month and am on insulin injections twice daily. The last couple of days my feet have been sore and today when i got up my feet and ankles were swollen as well as sore. Lastly, my toenails have become very thick, brittle and of a yellow colour. Can anyone give me any advice please.

My father has been diagnosed with Type II Diabetes, about 10 years ago and has been on insulin for the last 2-3 years. All his eye check-ups were clean.
Today we went to another ophthalmologist. He stated he had operated 27000 people and examined even more, and he had never seen a diabetic that has suffered the disease for this long and had no eye injury. All through the rest of his speech, he implied that having diabetes without eye problems is impossible.
Has anyone ever experienced something similiar, or if you’re a physician, do you have any opinions on the subject?
Thanks in advance
