Best answer:

Answer by Cammie
You are correct.
In any different [ changing ] environments, you need to check more frequently.

In this hot weather [ 101 here right now ] use fans and drink much more than usual.
Although you may not feel like it, you still need to eat.
Try sandwiches , cold salads and cold soups.
You can eat frozen pops, especially sugar free, to help keep you cool.

Best answer:

Answer by mnvikes8484
there arent any effective herbal treatments, but there are prescriptions that can help a little bit. best thing to do though is avoid it by maintaining a healthy weight and excercising regularly. type 2 diabetes often doesnt have symptoms early on (or they are subtle) so the only way you’d know for sure is a blood test. lots of times you can get them at health fairs for -15

Question by Anonymouseezz: What is insulin and how does it help people with diabetes?
Basically as simply as possible, what is it, and how does it help people with diabetes?

Best answer:

Answer by Shurephyre
Insulin is a chemical in the body that counters sugar (from what you eat / drink) to keep your blood sugar at a moderate level. People with diabetes do not make (or make very little) insulin, therefore, they must get it from another source (either taken from an animal or chemically synthesized).

Too high or too low of blood sugar is bad and can be lethal. This is why insulin is VERY important.

Question by joli: How does the measurement of a blood C peptide level help to determine the type of diabetes?
Occasionally an adult or child is diagnosed with diabetes who does not fit the stereotypical picture of the type of diabetes associated with their age group. How does the measurement of a blood C peptide level help to determine the type of diabetes?

Best answer:

Answer by micksmixxx
C-peptide is only released when insulin is produced. Therefore, if C-peptide is not present, or is in low concentrations, doctors would, very likely, determine that the patient is suffering from type 1 diabetes. (In type 2 diabetes insulin is still produced, though is not readily used due to insulin resistance.)

Question by juvenilediabeticami: Hi, I was wondering how can I get help if I have been denied for medicaid and disability?
I ama 22 year old juvenile diabetic with diabetic retinopathy. I have been denied both medicaid and disability yet I cannot work or drive due to my vision loss. I also have severe depression and anxiety and do not know where to go from here. I want to do something but don’t know what? Any Ideas or suggestions? Thanks!
I have appealed my disability and ssi denial, but still haven’t had a hearing or heard any other information.

Best answer:

Answer by akbecky23
You have the right to appeal the decision. Contact your local office and they will direct you of what to do. Have you applied for SSI? If not you need to appply for SSI as this will help you obtain the mentioned benefits. Visit the social security website for directions on how to apply. There are also lawyers that are out there to help you for little or no money.
