Just curious. I don’t have diabetes on either side of my parents. I mostly believe people have a genetic propensity to this problem.
Also, if my partner has diabetes (in her family line), what will be the chances for our kids to have it?
My dad needs triple bypass surgery but has severe emphzyma and lung disease. He also have diabetes. What are the risks and recovery (and how long) if he has the surgery? Is he better off not having the surgery?
