Question by Wolven: List the people who should receive the kidney in order of who deserves it or needs it the most.?
Ok the following list is ten people who need a kidney. This is not real. Purely hypothetical. Normally in medicine they decide off of who is the healthiest and has a better chance of living a long life. These rules need not apply if you do not want them to.
Basically I am giving you free reign to decide how to judge which of these people should get a kidney.
1)A pregnant women with AIDS who works as a prostitute.
2) A member of a militant terrorist group who is in the US and is feared to have been planning an attack on the US.
3) A 40 year old diabetic male who is blind from diabetic retinopathy. (damage to the eye)
4) A 50 year old male in prison for murdering his pregnant wife 15 years ago.
5) A 35 year old mother of 3 girls who has breast cancer. She has been treated for a year and is not cured but the chemo has destroyed her kidneys. Cancer has spread to her lungs and possibly bones.
6) A 44 year old male alcoholic who has had no success with AA or any other form of treatment for his alcohol problem.
7) 70 year old female with severe osteoporosis and fractured hip.
15 year old teen who Over Dosed on drugs. He has permanent brain damage from the OD and is addicted to cocaine.
9) A 35 year old male in prison for rape.
10) 10 year old boy who is blind and deaf and has several other birth defects.
So you decide in which order they should get the kidney. If you can, give your philosophical or even personal opinion on why you ordered them as you did.
This is NOT homework help. It was just mentioned in class and I found it interesting.

i’d say all deserve it. they all have to endure what god hath gifted! especially at a time of technological marvel age

no criminal should be allowed to live
This is purely ethical. The answer varies from person to person, a decision like this is best discussed over a medical board.
1.10 year old who may be able to live a long productive life.
2.35 year old mom of 3. Hopefully she will have a longer time to spend with her kids.
3.15 year who overdosed. He made unwise decisions but he’s still human and somebody loves him.
4.40 year old diabetic.
5.44 year old alcoholic.
6.70 year old female.
7.Pregnant woman.
8.Terrorist. Don’t really deserve it
9.Murderer. Get him better so he can rot in prison
10.Rapist. Scrum of the earth

Its hard because there are some people who I would like to have the kidney but it wouldnt make sense to give it to them when someone else is more deserving and in better shape. I really dont want to give kidneys the the last few but I put them on the list regardless.
8 (new kidney = new chance) And not a new chance to OD again, but a new chance for a fresh start.

3 (hes only 40 so another kidney would add awesome years to his life)

NONE of the last three deserve it. But I think everyone should have a second chance. Except number 2. Im tired of this terrorist crap.

For me this is hard because I believe all criminals deserve life and rights, but I will answer this in my own views:
