i know how u r feeling. Details of ur answer gave me tears. I understand your pain. i found two kittens, very small, on the street i did my best to save them but one of them got real sick. I went to vet, spent alot of money they said its infant cat syndrome and your kitten is dying u can do nothing for him. i held him in my arms. kept him warm. I kept crying and praying for the survival of this little one. whole night me and my husband sat and fed him warm milk. and did whatever we could and guess what my kitten survived. Now it is fine. and growing up. both of them are cute angels and growing up healthy and fine. but still when i think of that day i shiver.

I dont know what happened but wanted to say this tale moves me to tears. Im saddened greatly and I feel your pain after losing a young cat myself and never knowing what truely caused it. its seems that bella was never even given a chance. Who knows why these horrible things happen I just wish the first vet had done more tests. All you can do is take comfort in the fact that she is no longer suffering. I was offered an autopsy on my cat and I said no as really what do I gain, Id lost my beloved cat and that was all there was to it. Take care and spend some time with the other kittens . It will get easier.

I am so sorry!! That is such a sad story. There is no use feeling guilty about anything, you tried all you could to save the poor kitty, just remember that..
If you really want to know what I think..well this kitten could have possibly been sick before you got her..where did you get her? Was she a stray? Also, homemade food is not necessarily good for cats unless you buy Taurine and add it to the food. Taurine is necessary mineral that cats need to survive. It's added in all cat foods. If your kitty only slept, pooped, and ate, then there was definetely something wrong with her because kittens should be fully of energy and want to constantly play. She could have been born ill.
May she rest in peace. I'm sorry for your loss, but just remember that you tried all you could, and that Bella is in God's hands now.
ps. my kitty's name is also Bella.

I'm sorry about Bella. Losing a pet is one of the hardest things to go through. I can't give you an answer about what went wrong...I think the vet told you everything. I do know that buying pets from a store can be iffy. A lot of these animals come from puppy and kitten mills where they're not properly cared for but it sounds like Bella was born with a condition that you really couldn't do anything about. Pet's know when they are loved and it's obvious you loved Bella very much. Take comfort in that. Don't beat yourself up over her death because I don't think you could have done more than you did. She was lucky to have you. Good luck and God bless.

I'm so sorry, what a sad thing to happen!!! You got her at a pet store? Did they give you documentation of the blood tests they ran? I'm sorry to say that pet stores sell sick kittens all the time. I know from experience, it happened to me twice. My last kitten was malnourished, had worms and an infection somewhere in her body when I got her. It took 7 trips to the vet to get her well. After buying her, I found out she was a stray someone brought in! I do not trust pet stores at all anymore. The lady at this pet store said that all kittens are inspected and that she knows how to give a health exam. But while in her store, (just looking, I'll never buy anything from her again) someone brought in a couple kittens, and she just took them and put them in the display case. No Exam, she didn't even check for ear mites like she assured me that she always does. Some people are just born liars. It sounds really suspicious that they made your boyfriend sign a release form. I am sure if they really did do a full blood work on her they would have found the diabetes. Maybe they did, but did not disclose it to you. Talk about Dishonest!!! Good pet stores will give you a free exam after buying a kitten. Or if you want to get another kitten, try a humane society, they usually pay for the kitten's first exam. Again, Sorry about Bella, It doesn't take long to get attached especially when you pamper them like it sounds like you did.
