Question by mexitalican: I am looking for a digital camera for my mother who is having vision issues…?
She is not blind but she has diabetic retinopathy and it is difficult for her to see small objects. Does anyone know of a digital camera with a large screen and few buttons? Larger buttons would be ideal.
We (her daughters) always take the pictures for her, but my sisters are leaving for college soon and I’m no longer in the house so we want to get her one for mothers day.
If you have any ideas of some that would work, please throw out any ideas! We are open to suggestions.
Thanks so much!

What do you think? Answer below!

Fuji J250 $160.00 Has a 5x zoom (much better than 3x) and a large lcd viewing screen. GO to the web site and see how few buttons/controls are on the camera, and how nice and large the viewing screen is. (easy to see). The small size of the controls is typical. so perhaps one of those small plastic magnifying glass pieces, attached to the camera strap would help. However most of the time all that has to done it set the camera once and there is no necessity to go changing things.
The web site has a 360 degree viewing situation which will give you a picture of how the camera looks from all angles.
And if my suggestion is not help enough, I recommend calling Fuji they are great at helping.
