Is there a link between eating disorder and diabetes?

Yikes…Four ladies I know have been diagnosed with diabetes over the last year. Two of them have had either anorexia or bulemia since they were teens. Can one cause the other?

No such link has been found till date. However if in addition to the mentioned eating disorders one has the following symptoms then he/she should get checked up for diabetes.

    1. Loosing weight suddenly.
    2. Frequent urination.
    3. Always very thirsty.
    4. Dire need to eat, always hungry.
    5. Blurred vision.
    6. Itching of the skin.
    7. Numbness in extremities (arms & lags).
    8. Slow healing of wounds.
    9. Vaginal yeast infection.
    10. Fatigue.
    11. Irritability and changes in ones mood.
