frequent urging for urine ,increased thirst,weakness,increased appetite (hunger),frequent urinary infection .these are the symptoms of diabetes.But lymphnode enlargement(Are you sure his whole lymphnodes are enlarged?) ,fever and all other symptoms you said points towards some other conditions .

Well my sister is Hyperglycemic, and I’m Hypoglycemic.. And I read in my Medical Encyclopedia that if I dont stick to my pyramid diet carefully…. that what I have can lead to a coma, a siezure, and or even death…. We come from a long line of diabetics…My uncle who used to drink, even after he was diagnosed, with Diabetese ended-up having to get his leg amputated… And my father ended up having a “Massive Stroke” before his 70th birthday, because of his diabetese.. I have cousin’s who have it, and everyone of my Dad’s syblings all have it…. I dont know much else about it except diet eating what they tell us to eat is so important!!

He may have a problem with his adrenal glands such as Cushing’s syndrome or pancreatitis. As for diabetes, problems can be associated with Diabetes are heart disease, Kidney disease leading Kidney failure(most commom complicaton), blindness, cataracts, leg infections which can lead to leg amputation, all of the problems are caused by poor cirulation secondary to diabetes. the best way to control complications is to control blood sugar.

It is consistent with an auto immune disorder so have him see an endocrinologist and/or a rheumatologist to find out what is going on.
