Together, frequent and urgent urination are classic signs of a urinary tract infection. Since inflammation reduces the bladder’s capacity to hold urine, even small amounts of urine cause discomfort.

Diabetes, pregnancy, and prostate problems are other common causes of these symptoms.

Other causes include:

•Interstitial cystitis
•Medicines such as diuretics
•Overactive bladder syndrome
•Prostatitis
•Stroke and other neurological diseases
•Urinary incontinence
Less common causes:

•Bladder cancer
•Bladder dysfunction
•Radiation therapy
Common causes of nighttime urination:

•Drinking too much before bedtime, especially caffeine or alcohol
•Enlarged prostate

Blood sugar levels in excess of 160 can cause the kidneys to expel the extra blood sugar in the urine. So, you pee a lot because of it.

The word diabetes was derived from the phrase ’sweet smelling urine’.

Many things. First off, you said you are drink more water… that’s a big clue!! LOL. Other possibilities are being chilly, being nervous, a mild bladder infection, too much caffeine, or even an enlarged prostate in men. Although there are many causes (some harmless, some serious), be sure that you’re not over-reacting and scaring yourself. Sometimes, if you eat a meal very high in salt (like fast food or some frozen dinners), your body will retain water. When it’s finally released a day or two later, it can seem like you are constantly going to the restroom. Below is a weblink that discusses the many causes of frequent urination.
