With Diabetes, Is There Any New Technology That Allows Non Invasive Glucose Monitoring?
Posted in Definition on 18. Feb, 2010
Or any trans-dermal methods of insulin delivery that do not require needles? Son has CF related diabetes. At present he only needs 1 injection of 24 hour Lantus insulin. In the future, perhaps soon, he may need the regular injections every time he eats and the more frequent testing. Is there any new stuff out there, aside from the pump, that could make this less painful?

Not for testing you blood sugar. There are continuous glucose monitors, but these are an additional tool and not a substitue for regular blood testing. New monitors allow you to test on sites other than fingertips so the prick is not as painful.
The general belief that Diabetes is always due to short of Insulin is not correct. In majority of cases, it can be due to Metabolism syndrome, when the body cells have become resistant to adopt the insulin or the insulin has become non-effective. In such cases, the herbs for correction of digestion system will be helpful. One such herb available and used in India is Piper Cabeba.( commonly known as Sheetal Chini).
Though this is time-tested, we can also consult our physicians.
