I have a cousin that has juvenile diabetes. The family has no insurance and it probably over the income for a medical card/chips program.

Don’t be so sure about being over the income for the chips program. They should at least try to apply. They might have to pay a portion of the cost but would at least be able to get medical supplies with the prescription plan.

try contacting the provider(dr or supplier) to see if they have a patient assistance program, based on how many people are in the home they may qualify for all supplies or have to pay a small fee for supplies. ( i work for a doctor and do this all day for our low income patients or patients with no insurance)

Try applying for the chips program and for medicaid for the child. You might be surprised at what the requirements are.
Contact the childs doctor and he/she can get the parents informed as to what programs are available and be helpful with the application.

look on line partnership for prescriptions, free prescriptions, etc. contact diabetes foundation, try medicaid.

i found the best thing is to check with your local medical facility they have lots of knowledge on where to turn for help.or you can go to the social services for help they might have some kind of program.
